Number Crunchers is a tribute to Number Munchers (1986) by MECC — the same Minnesota studio behind The Oregon Trail. Students chose a skill (Multiples, Factors, Primes, Equality, Inequality, or a mixed Challenge), then guided the little green Muncher around a grid, gobbling correct answers while purple Troggles roamed about — and those Troggles famously rewrote the numbers they crossed, so the board never stood still. It quietly drilled core number sense through pure arcade reflexes. This recreation keeps all of that, built from scratch with no plugins, plus difficulty tiers tuned for different ages.
