The Steading

The worked land of the world tree

A steading is a holding raised by hand — hall and field, fold and ledger, weathered through every season. Here the games ask not for fast reflexes but for patience and stewardship: build a settlement, work the land, balance the trade, and keep your people through the long winter.

What the Steading Holds

The long game · settlement & simulation

Every other realm of the tree rewards a quick hand. The Steading rewards a steady one. These are games of building and keeping — colonies and farms, trade routes and ledgers, herds and harvests and the slow turning of the seasons.

That patience is the point. Odin won the runes not in a moment but over nine long nights, and a steading is raised the same way: one wall, one furrow, one fair trade at a time. Nothing here is won by luck. It is tended into being — which makes it the truest teacher of all the realms, for planning, arithmetic, resource sense, and the quiet discipline of seeing a thing through to harvest.

Two halls already stand and more are on the roadmap. Pull up a stool by the hearth and stay a while.
